He said that a special ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was organized under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava from August 13 to 15 to mark India’s 75th Independence Anniversary.
Sawant urged people to hoist the national flag in their homes during the campaign. “Tirangs are sold in schools, colleges and panchayats,” he said.
He said that clear programs like Ideas of 75, Resolution of 75, Action of 75 and Achievement of 75 will be celebrated in the next year under ‘Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. “The central government along with the state government will organize these programmes,” Sawant said.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a meeting on its implementation on August 6 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Chief Ministers, Governors and Cabinet Ministers will be present in this meeting,” he said.
He said that India’s journey for the next 25 years will also be discussed in this meeting.
